The Kate Miller-Heidke Band
As drummer for the Sony BMG recording artist Kate Miller-Heidke, and along with along with fellow Transport band member guitarist Keir Nuttall, Steve has toured extensively, nationally and overseas, with the KMH Band. His drumming features on Kate’s album’s “Curiouser” and “Little Eve”, and on the “Circular Breathing” EP.
“Idiosyncratic pianist, compelling vocalist and enchanting songwriter, Kate has made some of the most captivating musical entertainment we’ve seen from a solo artist this decade – both in the studio and on stage…
…Little Eve is like a set of Russian dolls. Twist open the song to find her special insight. Twist open the insight to find her heartfelt story. The album is a dozen of these dolls; introspective memoirs sparkling with a child’s playfulness and imagination. They exceed the beauty of her sweet first EPs by a long way. The result of an intensive summer of writing and recording in Brisbane with Kate’s collaborator and guitarist Keir Nuttall, the record also features tasteful production by producer Magoo.
Also featured are Kate’s band who have been playing together for over 3 years, and the chemistry they share is unmistakable. All these elements have culminated in an inspiring work of art.”

Medollic
Medollic is Lix Bacskay (vocals/guitar), James North (guitar/keys/bass/percussion/backing vocals) and Steve Pope (drums/backing vocals). In 2007, with a handful of songs and guitars in tow, Lix moved from New Zealand to Brisbane, Australia where she, James and Steve began arranging, recording and writing more of what would become Medollic’s critically acclaimed debut 10 track album, ‘Dollhouse’.
“Elusive melodies and sweet vocals means that Dollhouse is more like a book than a magazine – an album that must be listened as a whole, and the listener will fall more in love with Dollhouse as Bacskay and company hypnotise you with their melodies.”
- Paige X Cho (Rolling Stone AU, MTV, Faster Louder)
“It’s a natural sounding rock record– like they used to sound like! You remember, good songs, good players, rocking out? Where’d that go? HEY! Here it is!”
- Eric Conn (Independent Mastering, USA)
“After first listen there was no doubt that Medollic had mastered the equation that most musicians nowadays miss entirely. With strong vocals from Bacskay, along with North’s extensive experience as a producer, and Steve Pope on drums the result is a blend of music that is both simple yet powerful, artistic yet edgy.”
- Ray Russo (Nimrod Street, USA)
A Family of Strangers
A Family of Strangers is the new hard-hitting rock project for Glenn Esmond (The Butterfly Effect). Featuring Esmond on vocals and acoustic guitar, the band line-up sports Aaron Croft (guitars), Brenton Page (Bass), Nathan Moore (guitars/keys) and Steve Pope (Drums).
“Glenn Esmond has stepped out from behind the bass (with The Butterfly Effect), to take on the songwriting, lead vocals and guitar – and he thrives in the position. This has to be one of the most solid debut efforts that would be classified as a ‘side-project’ since A Perfect Circle blew our minds.”

Daisie May
Described as “post-feminist heart-on-sleeve lyrics with indie rock and punk energy” (Time Off Magazine), irreverent Brisbane rockers Daisie May will make your hair dance. Their riffs and hooks combine with catchy melodies to create the sultry, sexual rock sound of this dynamic four piece. Lead by French-born songstress Pauline Maudy, Daisie May are a band to watch. With barely two years playing live they have accumulated more notches on their belts than they care to admit. 2011 is deemed to be their best year yet. March sees Daisie May start work with producer James North to record a collection of their best songs. Keep your ears peeled.
Daisie May is Pauline Maudy on vocals, Matt Ward on guitar, Ben McBurnie on bass and Steve Pope on drums.

Transport
Currently on hiatus, yet always world famous in BrisVegas, Transport is Keir Nuttall (vocals/guitar), Scott Saunders (bass/vocals) and Steve Pope (drums/vocals). The band formed in 2002 starting as a rock/funk improvisation project, has since released 2 EPs and debut LP The Inner Chimp.
“Imagine melodic British New Wave colliding head-on with the powerful, riffy guitars of American Classic Rock. Throw in occasional Hip-Hop vocal stylings and you’re describing Australian band TRANSPORT. One of the most innovative and high-energy rock bands to emerge from Brisbane Australia, a city Billboard magazine (USA) recently cited as one of the top 5 most exciting musical centres in the world.
The three-piece release their debut album ‘The Inner Chimp‘ in 2007 building upon two successful independent EPs. “The Inner Chimp” is a fun album, a high-energy romp with a unique sound and satirical lyrics. The album fills all the musical gaps between Talking Heads – XTC – Black Sabbath – Eminem. Whilst always firmly retaining the TRANSPORT sound.
‘The Inner Chimp‘ produced by Caleb James www.calebjames.com is available for worldwide licensing deals NOW! The first single off the album is ‘(The People) Have Spoken’ an infectious, high-energy rock dance-floor anthem and is scheduled for a UK and worldwide online release May 14th 2007.”

The Stames (coming soon…)
The exciting, inevitable and long overdue, pop-rock partnership of producer James North (vocals/guitars/bass/keys) and Steve Pope (drums) is on its way. Having worked together on on more projects than they could count on all 20 of their fingers, The Stames marks the beginning of a calculated songwriting and recording project for the pair. The Stames debut album is underway and is anticipated for release in the summer of 2011/12.
“The Stames… it’s a guilty pleasure.”
- Caleb James (Producer, Australia)
