All styles of playing, all age groups, from beginner to advanced levels.

I have over 20 years of drum teaching experience, including private lessons, tertiary tuition, masterclasses and group workshops. I teach students of all ability levels across a wide range of genres with a focus on technique and body mechanics as applied to the drum kit. I am now accepting students for drum lessons in Melbourne at my Flemington studio.

ONLINE LESSONS

I am currently offering online drum lessons via Zoom and Skype. This will enable students to study from home or wherever they are in the world. If you need to travel a long way to get to your lesson, this could be an option for you. You will need either Zoom or Skype software and a computer/device that has a webcam and microphone. Your setup can include your drum kit or simply working from a practice pad is fine also. Contact Steve here for online lesson inquiries.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Give the give of sick beats all year round. Know someone who’s a tap-aholic? Someone who’s always wanted to play the drums but never got around to it? Or maybe you already know a drummer and are stumped about what to buy them for their birthday? Get them some drum lesson gift vouchers!

I cater for all ages and abilities, and you can buy an individual lesson or block of lessons to suit your budget. Head over to the contact page, send me a message and we’ll get the ball rolling!

F.A.Q.

  • What to bring to your first lesson? If it’s your first drum lesson ever it’s a good idea for you to at least bring sticks. It’s recommended that you have a practice pad for after your first lesson to practice the things you have learned in your lesson.
  •  If you have had lessons previously bring in any material that you have worked through… books, handouts etc. so we can get a clear idea of what you have studied and where we can go to from there.
  •  For more info about Steve go to the About Steve page.
